Chennai: The leader of the Ramamurthy Ramamurthy veteran veteran congress died of age-related complications on Sunday morning.
The president of the former Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) was 87.
Minister of Man Ministle M K Stalin visited the Ramamurthy residence in Paniyur near Chennai, and gave the last respect for the dead leader.
Ramamurthy’s body was brought to the place of origin in the city of Tindivanam for the funeral, which will take place at night.

Inspired by the leadership of the former minister of K Kamaraj, Ramamurthy joined the Congress very early in life during his students.
He continued to represent Congress as MLA, an opposition leader in the Tamil Nadu legislative council and a Rajya Sabha MP.
He is also the President of the State of NCP Sharad Pawar in Tamil Nadu for some time.
However, Ramamurthy was far from active politics over the past few years.
