Former Karnataka Meeting speaker Krishna Goes away

BENGALURU: Former speaker of this Karnataka legislative meeting Krishna, popularly called KR Pete Krishna, expired at his Mysuru house on Friday, sources close to him . Krishna (80), experiencing cancer, had undergone treatment in a private hospital in Chennai. He’s survived by wife and a girl. The very last rites are most likely to be carried out in his native village Kottamaranahalli at K R Pete taluk of Mandya district Saturday, sources said. Krishna had served as animal husbandry and sericulture ministry in SR Bommai cupboard and had symbolized KR Pete meeting constituency thrice in 1985, 1994 and 2004 in Janata Party, Janata Dal and JD(S). He’d reflected the Mandya Lok Sabha seat in 1996 and served as the speaker of Karnataka legislative meeting from 2004-08. Krishna was called a very simple and gentleman-politician. Expressing condolences, main minister BS Yediyurappa recalled Krishna’s popularity amongst the folks beginning out of his political career for a member of KR Pete Taluk Board, and also how he declared the Communist worth because a speaker. Former prime minister HD Deve Gowda, expressing despair, said he’s deeply saddened by Krishna’s passing. Many ministers of this state cupboard, JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy, say Congress leader DK Shivakumar also have expressed condolences, whilst leader of resistance Siddaramaiah went to Mysuru to pay his final respects.
