Rajkot: Eleven people, including former Deputy Mayor of Rajkot Municipal Corporation, were ordered because they did not return more than RS 2.2 Crore they borrowed from advocates in 2011.
Advocates, Jayanti Thummar, tried to end his life on Tuesday by consuming Phenyl on Jalan Kuvadavas.
In a suicide note, Thummar was named 11 people including Previously Deputy Mayor of Ashwin Moliya, his son Nirav, Mansukh Pipariya, Sanjay Dudhatra, Chirt Parsana, Jagdish Limbasiya, Bharat Tadaviya, Ramesh Shingada, Vijay Raiyani, Bharat Radadiya and Hasmukh Keradiya.
Thummar, Brother-in-law of the Panchayat District of President Bhupat Bodar, consumed the phenyl and then told his friends that he ended his life.
His friends reached a place on time and hurted Thummar to the hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
The suicide note was found, where Thummar said that 11 people borrowed him from him.
But they don’t return money even though recurring reminders.
Thummar also accused when he went to Moliya asking him to return the money, the former deputy mayor was allegedly threatening him from the terrible consequences.
The police have ordered all 11 people to cheat, criminal violations of trust and criminal intimidation.
The police said that all who were accused of being entrepreneurs.
