Jaipur: Former Minister of Cabinet and Veteran BJP leader Jai Narayan Poonia died of a heart stop on Sunday.
He is 88 years old.
Poonia, who came from the Churu District, complained of high blood pressure recently and was hospitalized in Hisar Haryana, where he died on Sunday morning.
The last rite was carried out in the village of Lakhan Choti in the Churu District in Rajasthan.
Jai Narayan Poonia was chosen as Janata Dal Mla from Sadulpur’s constituents in Churu in 1977 for the first time and became Minister of PWD.
He was chosen as Tara Nagar Mla on Janata’s party ticket in 1985 and in 2013, he won the Tara Nagar assembly seat as a BJP candidate.
