Ludhiana: Former Water Resources Management MLA and Punjab Chairperson of Jagbir Brar Company on Monday returned to Sedam after resigning from Congress and his position.
Sad President Sukhbir Singh Badal, ended with Ghar Wapsi (home arrived), announced him as a party candidate from Jalandhar Cantonment and also appointed his secretary general.
Brar, the first cousin of Finance Minister Manpreet Badal, became Akali Dal MLA in 2007 from Jalandhar Cantonment.
When the Mahrektur separated sadly to form the Punjab Peoples Party, he also joined him.
Before the 2012 election, he joined the Congress and contested as his candidate from Jalandhar Cantonment, but was lost at that time the candidate of Akali Dal Singh.

Brar also remains president of the Jalandhar District Congress Committee (rural).

Bhatasuxbir’s call called for the former Senior Deputy Mayor of Kamaljit Singh Bhatia at his residence.
Bhatia has registered a strong protest after Punjab Safai Mazdoor Federent President Chandan Grewal stated the ‘in-charge constituency’.
Badal appointed the party vice president.
Makkarformer Mla Sarabjit Singh Makkar Upsets, the saddened candidate from Jalandhar Cantt in 2017, has held separate meetings and delivered to his supporters that Sukhbir will come there too.
During the meeting, he said he would be a party candidate from Jalandhar Cantonment.
When Sukhbir announced the nomination of Brar, the supporters of Makkar said the move had caused hatred among workers in elections and parties to face adverse consequences.
“Local leaders and workers appealed to Sukhbir to reconsider and announce Makkar as a nomination,” they said.
