Lucknow: On another jolt for Congress in Uttar Pradesh, former Fatehpur MP and the UPCC Secretary General Rakesh Sachan joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), along with former minister and MLA four times Shivakant Ojha from the Jaalabad Party and Legislator Jalalabad SP Sharadvir Singh.
The three of them took the Saffron party membership in front of the Union and BJP ministers took Dharmendra Pradhan and former BJP Head of BJP Laxikan Bajpai.
Sachan, who is also a member of the Congress General Priyanka Gandhi, has joined the party after stopping SP before Lok Sabha’s 2019 poll.
He was reduced by Congress from Fatehpur but lost to Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti BJPS.
