Former MSU Prof S J Bedies left

Vadodara: Retired Professor and Former Head of the University of Botany Department M S Bedius died on Friday after a short disease.
He is 90 years old.
Taxonomist trained, Bedi has served in Sardar Sarovar Project and is also the head of the botanical department for a period of three years.
Initially from Uttarakhand, Bedi had settled in Vadodara where he worked in the field of pollution inside and around Vadodara.
“He is a member of the founder of the Indian Association to control air pollution headquartered in Vadodara,” said Professor Arun Arya, former head of the botanical department.
“Professor Bedi has guided many students pH D in the field of ecology and environmental pollution.
He survived his wife, two sons and a daughter,” said Arya.
