Former naval officers passed 99

Bhubaneswar: Former Deputy Admiral S H Sarma, a veteran from many wars and recipients of Param Vishisht Seva Medal, died here on Monday due to age-related disease.
He was 99.
Sarma lived in Bhubaneswar after retiring.
He survived two sons and two daughters.
Original Odisha served as the Flag Offic Commander, the East Fleet, during the 1971 war .
“Very sad to learn about the graduation of one of the famous #odishas sons, Deputy Admiral SH Sarma, PVSM.
Veteran soldiers led from the front for many Indian battles have struggled.
My thoughts and prayers with family and friends who grieve,” Naveen Tweeted.
The month, he was among the war veterans made from Defense Minister Rajnath Singh marked the 75th anniversary of independence.
