Former Pacer Javagal Srinath Named India-NZ Match Referee

Kanpur: Former Indian Pacer Javagal Srinath has been appointed by referee matches for the first test match between India and New Zealand scheduled to be held at the Green Park Stadium from November 25.

Sanjay Kapoor said BCCI has also appointed Nitin Menon and Virendra Sharma as the referee for the match.
Anil Chaudhary and Anant Padmanabhan each will bear the responsibilities of the Third and Fourth People.
Meanwhile, the Prashant Rao curator reached Kanpur on Monday and expressed satisfaction after examining land and goal.
So far, the local curator, Shiv Kumar, has prepared and maintained a middle square and land.
Prashant Rao will supervise land preparation and a square center.
According to sources, the UPCA has obtained communication from BCCI regarding the arrival of players in Kanpur.
Players who do not participate in the T20 match and selected for the test team, will reach Kanpur on November 19.
They will be quarantined for three days.
The players who have been selected for T20 and the test match will reach Kanpur on November 22 along with the New Zealand team.
Both teams will go to the ground and nets the next day in the morning and evening session.
Meanwhile, UPCA officials said BCCI had put a tight Covid protocol.
There will be no ball selector around the boundary wall.
Media people must bring their RPCR negative reports.
BCCI provides accreditation only to those who have been given a vaccine dose.
Certificates for this effect issued by the Indian government have been mandatory for accreditation.
Regarding ticket sales and capacity permitted at the stadium, the official said the UPCA was awaiting guidelines from the state government.
“On the previous occasion, the UPCA has put 75% of the permitted capacity tickets for sale.
Hopefully this policy will remain at this time,” he added.
