Former Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain died in Karachi

Karachi: Former Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain died here on Wednesday after a prolonged illness, according to his family leaders and parties.
He is 80 years old.
Hussain, who was born in Agra in 1940 and migrated with his parents to Pakistan in 1947, served as the 12th president of Pakistan between September 2013 and September 2018.

Diagnosed with cancer in February last year and was in care at a private hospital here for several days where he exhaled his last breath, the Fajar newspaper quoted PML-N Sindh Secretary General of Chaudhry Tariq.
President Alvi revealed sadness over Hussain’s death, said he shared the pain from his family who grieved.
President PML-N Shehbaz Sharif also shared sadness over Hussain’s death.
“Today, we have lost a valued person who loves Pakistan and has a good character,” a tweet by the President PML-n account quoted it.
“He is a trustworthy, loyal and ideological Nawaz Sharif friend.
He steadily stood near the party through all the highest and lowest.” The service for the country and the nation will remember for a long time, “Shehbaz said.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi Tweeted:” My deepest condolences through former Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain.
May God give his family his strength to bear this big loss.
“Textile entrepreneurs from Karachi, Hussain were associated with the Muslim League through the 70s and 80s and remained active members of PML-N from the early days.
He was the Governor of Sindh from June to October 1999 when Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was overthrown by the head of the Pakistani army who later, Gen Pervez Musharraf.
