PANAJI: Former Mayor Panaji Uday Madkaikar, supporters near Panaji MLA MLA MONSERRATE, on Saturday joined the Congress with his supporters, in other indications that the capital wave rotated.
The day before, Tony Rodrigues, Karapurkar’s power, Nagesh Karihetty and several other monserer helpers entered the folds of the Congress.
“This is Ghar Wapsi for me because I was a true member of Congress from 1984.
We then worked for Monsere, and we followed him to every party from Congress to the advanced party and even Ugkar,” Madkaikar said.
Madkkkaikar, who has been a Monsere loyalist for decades and is currently part of the PKC panel in power, parting with him after being dropped as mayor.
Monsterrate puts up his son Rohit in that position.
Congress seems to be in the induction spree because it looks controlling taleiiga, Panaji and Santa Cruz constituencies from BJP and the Monserrate family.
Together with Madkaikar, a former member of the Lotikar Rahul Council and several others also joined the Congress.
“Monserrate has betrayed people.
Today if you see Panaji, see the sad situation.
There is no promise of the manifesto has been fulfilled,” Madkkaikar said.
He also said that he had not joined for the election, and would work for each candidate chosen by the Congress.
However, Madkkaikar has explained that he is interested in fighting Monserrate in Panaji.
“Babush Monserrate is a habit defender.
He failed to fulfill the aspirations of the party who helped him win the election and also left voters,” Madkkaikar said.
He claimed that Monserrrate relates all his supporters while being BJP Panaji Mandal.
Madkaikar and Rodrigues have met the AICC Goa table responsible for Dinesh Gundu Rao and former Finance Minister P Chidambaram on August 26, after they announced that they would join Congress.
Rodrigues, former Mayor of the CCP, said he joined Congress because he felt he needed to do something to increase Taleigao, represented by the wife of Monserrate BJP MLA Jennifer.
Meanwhile, social workers from the Cumbarjua Constitution of Samil Volvoikar and Rajesh Phaldesai also joined the congress later on.
