New Delhi: Former Police Commissioner Delhi YS Dadwal (70) died on Wednesday night after a prolonged illness.
According to a senior police officer, Dadwal died in Delhi.
He used to live in the Southern Delhi Chhatarpur area.
The 1974-Batch IPS officer became the Delhi Police Commissioner in 2007 and was transferred to Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) as Director General in 2010.
He retired from SSB in 2011.
Dadwal is Delhi’s police chief when the Batla House meeting takes place where cell inspectors Special Mohan Chand Sharma was killed.
