Former Sarpanches now said there was no dissolution, demanding MCM polls

Gurgaon: a group of former Sarpaches from 14 villages who were under the corporation of Manesar City (MCM), met Pataudi Mla Satya Prakash Jrawta on Tuesday and demanded that the city selection be held earlier.
Control requests to dissolve MCM raised during Panchayat on Sunday, the former Sarpanches group said that it was very important to have a city corporation by considering the expansion of the region and its population but emphasized the need for village development.
VIJAYPAL YADAV, former Sarpanch Naharpur, said, “Our village population has increased to 2-2.5 lakh from 10,000 before.
However, there is a need to have a strict monitoring of the Civic body function.” The group also urges MLA that the priority must be given to Locals from 29 villages that have been under MCM for employment opportunities.
“We want civilian polls to be held earlier so we have our representation at MCM to ensure the development of our region,” Sunder Lal Yadav, President, Association of Sarpanch Gurgaon.
MLA, meanwhile, convinced people that the election will be held soon.
“I have written to the government to conduct elections based on a new census.
If everything as expected, the poll will be held longest in April,” he said.
