New Delhi: Former French Putra Pranab Mukherjee Abhijit Mukherjee on Monday joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Kolkata.
After joining a party, Abhijit praised TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee for handling communal waves by BJP.
“The way the Banerjee Mamata stops communal waves recently by BJP, I believe that in the future, with the support of others, he will be able to do the same throughout the country,” Abhijit said.
“I have not been included in the group or position of the Congress, except for the main membership.
Therefore, I have joined TMC as a soldier and will work in accordance with party instructions.
I will work to maintain integrity and secularism,” he added.
