New Delhi: Former Minister of Union and Asansol MP Babul Supriyo on Saturday officially joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Kolkata.
West Bengal leader has been announced to quit politics in July after he was dropped from the PM Modi cabinet on the last reshuffle.
He was persuaded by the BJP leadership against resigning as a member of Lok Sabha, but the singer – the politician then insisted that he would no longer be part of active politics.
Supriyo joined the Banerjee Mamata party in front of TMC Abhishek Banerjee leader and Derek O Brient.
