KOLKATA: Former West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee was Wednesday discharged from hospital once he recuperated from Covid-19, officials explained.
Bhattacharjee was taken into a’safe house’ to get Covid patients in which he’d be under observation for a week, his relatives said.
“He’s about irregular BiPAP and his oxygen saturation reaches 96 percent.
He’s presently aware, attentive and speaking sensibly.
His blood pressure is secure…,” an announcement issued from the hospital explained.
“Mr Bhattacharjee has improved clinically and will be discharged now with information of domiciliary care and seven days of residence isolation,” it added.
The 77-year-old prior CM had tested positive for Covid-19 on May 18 and admitted to hospital on May 25.
