Aurangabad: The state where the right nutrition has always been a problem has found a solution to it in the form of grain enriched.
Atal Incubation Center, run by Bihar Vidyapeth, has emerged with this solution.
Bihar President Vidyapeth Vijoy Prakash said many innovative experiments were carried out by institutions for the benefit of people in the state.
“Enriched grains are protein, vitamins, and other nutrients added.
As a result, the nutritional capacity of grains increases,” said Prakash.
According to experts, fortifying means adding nutrients that do not occur naturally in food.
Most processed grains are enriched and many grains that are enriched are also enriched with other vitamins and minerals, such as folic acid and iron.
Prakash said the fortified grain would be given to the holders of Anganwadi to prepare for fields for school children.
“The idea is to increase the nutritional level of children in rural areas.
We will start producing grains that are enriched on a commercial scale.
Such experiments were carried out in the state in 2008 as well when I was the main secretary of the Social Welfare Department.
Nutrition is given in Small candy form.
However, it is now being expanded and associated with cereal, “Prakash added.
