NEW DELHI: Professional horse riders Fouaad Mirza, the first Indian to qualify for Olympic Games Founded in 20 decades, has successfully completed the minimum qualification requirement (MER) to compete at the Olympics Games’ eventing field.
In the Baborowko Equestrian Festival in Poland on Saturday, Mirza kept the initial two placings in his occasion, together with Seigneur Medicott ending first and Dajara 4 minute following the crossover to finish the MER formalities prior to the June 24 deadline.
Back in January, 27-year-old Mirza, a dual 2018 Asian Games medallist, formally became the first Indian American to qualify for the Olympics following the 2000 Sydney Games.
Imtiaz Anees had awakened in the 2000 Olympics while Wing Commander IJ Lamba represented India in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics Games.
In the 2018 Asian Games, Mirza had won silver individual eventing and scored 34 points on his own very first pick horse, Fernhill Facetime, and 30 together with his next horse, Toughingwood.
