Founded in Punjab, Haryana hoist black flags to protest Plantation Legislation

CHANDIGARH: Farmers in Punjab and Haryana set up black flags atop their homes, burnt effigies and held protests on Wednesday, linking a’Dark Day’ call provided by plantation unions to indicate six weeks of the Travels in Delhi boundaries against the Centre’s three controversial farm legislation. At Punjab, protesting farmers burnt effigies in several areas, such as Amritsar, Muktsar, Moga, Tarn Taran, Sangrur and Bathinda. Shiromani Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Singh Badal also increased a black flag in his home at Muktsar district and encouraged the Centre to take away that the requirement of aspiring farmers. In Haryana, say Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Gurnam Singh Chaduni mentioned farmers in many areas hoisted black flags as a sign of protest. Many parties like Congress, SAD and AAP extended aid to the farmers’ telephone of celebrating this day as’Dark Day.’ Even the Samkyukt Kisan Morcha, an umbrella system of aspiring unions, had declared that farmers could watch May 26 as’Dark Day’ to indicate the end of six weeks of demonstration. Farmers, particularly childhood, set up black flags in their vehicles such as tractors, automobiles and two-wheelers. Punjab AAP leaders held a demonstration outside Punjab Raj Bhawan at Chandigarh in service of farmers. Holding black flags, they shouted slogans from the Centre and searched the legislation be repealed.
