Recent Telegram introduces an advertising platform, a program that allows individuals and companies to send sponsored messages.
According to the company, the AD telegram platform is a tool for making messages sponsored in the one-to-many public channel with 1000 customers.
The company claims that it introduces advertisements to help support its growth.
However, this step has not run well with several users.
In a blog post, the company has tried highlighting how and why it is different from WhatsApp despite introducing ads on the platform similar to whatsapp business.
In the Blog Pavel Durov, product managers, CEOs and Telegram founders talk about why with more free telegram users than whatsapp.
Here are the main reasons he gave: * WhatsApp has shared user data with advertisers even though they don’t show the ad itself.
* On the telegram, however, advertisers will never get your personal data.
* In addition, if you use a telegram how you use WhatsApp, you will never see one ad.
* Sponsored messages can only appear on the channel, which is a telegram of unique social networking features added several years after the launch.
If WhatsApp introduces similar features, they may also display ads there, such as the parent company they have done on Instagram and Facebook.
Telegram CEO said that online advertising is no longer synonymous with the misuse of user privacy.
“We want to redefine how technology companies must operate by setting examples of self-help platforms that respect its users and content makers,” he wrote.
On blog posts, Durov has also given two articles about WhatsApp Beong convicted of collecting data.
One article is about the main German data protection regulator that says that it takes action on social networks to prevent personal data collection from the WHATSAPP messaging application users.
The second is about Irish watchdog slap 225 million euros well on WhatsApp to overcome the UE data rules.
