Four Battle over stolen Land, three arrested

Coimbatore: The city police detained three thieves on Thursday and regained 48 sovereigns of golden decorations, 3kg silver posts and US dollars from them.
Police stated 3kg Pugazhendhi, 21, also a native of Chengalpattu, Tamilarasan, 21, of Viluppuram and Jobin, 29, of Malappuram in Kerala, combined with Praveen Kannan, also a native of Kerala, had broken into a home close Park Gate on Dr Nanjappa Road here at the wee hours of Tuesday and left off with golden decorations and silver articles.
The four, but fought with each other on sharing the stolen land at Thennampalayam about the outskirts of town on Wednesday night, even once the Sulur police arrested Pugazhendhi, Tamilarasan along with Jobin.
A police officer stated the four did not go to work and was able to sleep on the roadside stage near Park Gate to the last couple of months.
“They had been close friends and discovered 80-year-old G Jayalakshmi was living alone in a home on Dr Nanjappa Road.
When she moved into her daughter’s residence near, they fell into her home and stole the valuables.
