Taipei: In another example of the growth of the Military threat from Beijing, at least four Chinese military aircraft on Monday was issued to the Taiwan Air Defense Identification Zone (Adiz), marking the fifth intrusion of this month.
As reported by Taiwanese news, the Air Force of the Two People’s Army (Plaaf) Shenyang J-11 fighter aircraft, a Shaanxi Y-8 anti-submarine war aircraft, and one Shaanxi Y-8 surveillance plane flew to the southwest corner of Adiz.
Responding to the attack from Beijing, Taiwan sent an airplane and issued a radio warning while mobilizing the air defense missile system to track PLAAF aircraft, the information on the Ministry of National Defense (MND).
Meanwhile, 13 Chinese military aircraft had made this month’s attack in the Taiwan identification zone, including seven spotter planes and six fighter jets, reported Taiwan’s news.
This comes as Beijing claims sovereignty over the island of democracy and has increased military attacks in Taiwan.
Taiwan is a democracy of nearly 24 million people located on the southeast coast of mainland China.
Although it was set separately for more than seven decades, China has threatened that “Taiwan’s independence” means war.
On June 1, China’s President Xi Jinping promised to resolve the reunion with Taiwan who was ruled and vowed to destroy any efforts of formal independence for the island.
In other developments, the French National Assembly will also vote at the resolution aimed at supporting Taipei’s participation in the International Forum, Taiwan News reported.
