By: Anil Jadhav Amravati: In a tragic incident, four employees from the Kathora road-based engineering component died due to electrocution on Wednesday.
The incident caused a sensation in college, which was run by BJP MLC and former Minister Guardian Pravin Pote.
Gadgenagar police said the incident occurred around 12:30 when the employee painted the newly built entrance gate.
According to the police, the iron ladder they used came into contact with the overhead and fourth electric electric cables.
They die on the spot, added the police.
The deceased has been identified as Akshay Sahebrao Sawarkar (25) and Gokul Shalikramji Wagh (28), both Takli Jehangir, Prashant Seukar (30), a resident of Shirala, and Sanjay Dandnaik (45), a resident of Maltekdi here.
The police and firefighters rushed to the place and moved the body to the district public hospital.
