Bengaluru: Four Indian riders on Tuesday eligible for the Asian Equestrian Games show next year after winning the first selection test.
Pranay Khare, Kaevaan Setalvad, Zahan Setalvad and Yashaan Khatatta are four riders and they will be accompanied by five horses – Vanilla Sky, Alasdair, Quintus Z, Lorenzo and El Capitan – in 2022 Asian matches scheduled to be held in Hangzhou, China from September 10-25.
Setalvad Brothers – Kaevaan and Zahan – have represented India in 2018 Asian games in Indonesia.
“A total of 4 riders and 5 horses have qualified after trial victory,” said the Indian Equestrian Federation (EFI) in the release.
Jumping show program, organized by Efi and which began here on October 22, concluded on Tuesday.
Show jumps, the discipline of the Olympic and Asian game, consisting of obstacles called leaps in the 65m x 40m area.
There are two categories of two rounds of competition: 140m first and after two days resting two more rounds at 1.5 m.
YoSaan, along with Lorenzo, was finished in the top position in the 1.40m competition, followed by Zahan with Quintus Z.
Zahan also won third place with El Capitan.
In 1.50 million, the pranay was finished above with Sky Vanilla, while Krean and Zahan were second and third with Alasdair and Quintus Z.
The test of choice for Discipline Dressage was obtained here on Tuesday and the results would be known on October 29.
