Letter: City police arrested four people, all native to Uttar Pradesh (above), involved in the fraud of debit cards from the Pandesara region in the city.
The defendant used to steal the victim’s debit card with the pretext of helping them in withdrawing money from the ATM.
Police arrested Taufikkhan aka Babbu Mustakim (29), Riyaz Khan (32), Habib Shaikh (50) and Mohammad Irfan Khan (35).
The defendant had been ordered at the Pandesara Police Station in several cases of cheating targeting ATM users.
Police recover five cellphones, 19 debit cards, Rs 15,000 and cars from the defendant.
Allegations have been ordered in various countries including rising and Maharashtra.
Police said that the defendant used to offer assistance to ATM users or began chatting with them when they made a transaction.
Once they get a pin, the defendant stole the victim’s debit card by turning their attention.
Also, they are used to replace a debit card with one duplicate.
Then, they stole cash from the victim’s bank account.
On August 21, Vishwanath Mishra, a businessman, went to deposit cash at an ATM in Pandesara when the defendant noticed the pin.
Then, they distract Mishra and replace the card.
The accusation then spent Rs 71,428 from the card before being blocked by the complainant.
