Gurgaon: The gang that is suspected of offering an elevator to women, roses and kills them and throws away the body in the canal or pool has been arrested in Noah with the arrest of four young men.
Gang members, police said, have so far claimed to have been involved in two cases of rape and murder of 2018 and 2020.
The researchers questioned them to find out whether they had a role in another case.
The defendant has been identified as Devender aka Bablu, who led the gang, Manjeet, Nasir and Rinku.
All of them are between 20-25 years and come from Tauru and Palwal.
Following the tip-off on Thursday morning, they were picked up from Rangla Village in Tauru.
To put headscarves on their crimes, gang members have opened the transportation business and will rent out the sound system in marriage and other functions, police said.
They have bought van pick-up, which they will use for both transportation materials during the day and offer lifts to women at night.
The police have confirmed that the gang was involved in two cases of rape and murder.
On April 24, 2018, four gang members were on our way to Bhiwadi in Rajasthan in the van pick-up when they found a woman waiting on the road to the bus.
They thought they were offering him a ride, turning the vehicle to Noah and by raping the woman on the road.
They killed him in the village of Uthon and threw away in a canal, police said.
They also tied the stone to the hands and feet so that the body did not appear after a few days.
The body, however, was found after several weeks but still unknown for months.
A case was registered at the conscious police station in May 2019 under the 302 section (murder) and 201 (destroying evidence) IPC.
On July 20 last year, Devender returned from his in-laws’ place in Hodal Gadi when he offered a lift to a woman on the road.
He allegedly took him home, where he was raped and killed.
The defendant took the body in Van pick-up and dumped it in the pool near Jauran.
The decomposed body was found after a month and a registered case under Section 302 (Murder) and 201 (Destruction of Evidence) of the IPC at the Tauru Police Station.
“During the interrogation, the defendant claimed to have been involved in both cases,” said Narendra Bijiariya, SP (Noah).
