NEW DELHI: Indian wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia, Deepak Punia and Ravi Kumar Have Been on Monday seeded in their respective Classes for the Tokyo Olympics at July-August.
The two Bajrang and Deepak have now been seeded second at the 65kg and 86kg class while Ravi was seeded fourth at the 57kg.
Star feminine wrestler Vinesh is the best seed at the 53kg class.
Russia’s Rashidov Gadzhimurad is the best seed in men’s 65kg, Serbia’s Stevan Micic from the 57kg and also Iran’s Hassan Yazdanicharati at the 86kg.
Sumit Malik, who’d acquired an Olympic quota from the 125kg group, was provisionally suspended by entire body UWW for failing a dope test.
From those Indians who’ve qualified, the experienced Bajrang and Vinesh have a great likelihood of winning a trophy.
