“They had been able to immunize the children from polio,” health ministry spokesman Osman Taheri explained, including the strikes occurred in three distinct places over two or three hours.
Nangarhar authorities spokesman Farid Khan supported the strikes.
2 polio vaccinators were killed and one injured in strikes in Khogyani district, although two have been murdered in Surkhrod.
In another assault, three vaccinators were injured in the provincial capital, Jalalabad.
The vaccination drive from the state had been stopped, yet another health officer told AFP.

Tuesday’s attacks come less than three weeks after gunmen shot dead 3 girls polio vaccinators at Jalalabad.
The Taliban and spiritual leaders regularly tell communities which offenses are a Western conspiracy directed toward sterilising Muslim kids, and in addition, they guess immunisation forces are used for cloning militant actions.
