Four killing shepherds, stealing their livestock; Arrested

Rajkot: Four people were arrested on Sundays for allegedly killing a 70-year-old shepherd on the outskirts of Jamnagar.
The defendant had struggled Kheta Chavadiya, a resident of Samarthpur Village, to death by destroying his head with weapons.
All accused of being a native of Wankaner Taluka from the Morbi district.
Police arrested Buddho Parmar, Vijay Sindhav, Arajan Parmar and Kishan Parmar from Sami in the North Patan Gujarat district.
The defendant was involved in trafficking livestock and allegedly came to steal the victim’s goats and sheep.
A witness has told the police about four people who came in a jeep with the intention of stealing livestock in the area.
The team from the Branch of Local Crime Jamnagar (LCB) was led by the SS Ninama Inspector received information and four had fled to Patan District.
The victim departed to graze 30-odd and lamb flocks on Friday morning.
However, he failed to return home and his goats and shirts were also gone.
The police said that the attackers channeled him with a stick and caused a severe injury to his head with rocks, making him die in place.
“The defendant is a custom violator and goes to Sami to steal pets,” Ninama said.
