Four Mizoram residents were held for the sale of liquor in Cachar

Silchar: Police Assam has arrested four Mizoram residents from the Khulicherra area from the Dholy Police Station in the Cachar District.
A senior police officer on Sunday said the four defendants illegally crossed to Assam and were involved in selling illegal countrymade liquor.
Police Supervisory (Cachar) Ramandeeep Kaur told the media who took part in the local residents, the police rushed to the area and arrested them.
The men Illegally lived in Assam and have run illegal businesses.
The four have been sent to the Dholy police custody, SP added.
The police also confiscated equipment used for the manufacture of countrymade drinks from them.
Those who were arrested were identified as Lalnunhlima (50), Lalfakawma (28), LaldownGliana (27) and Lalthakima (14), all residents of Locality of Mizoram.
