Patna: JD (U) National President Rajiv Ranjiv Singh aka Lalan Singh on Tuesday announced his new team consisting of 18 members.
There were nine national secretary general, five secretaries, one national president, one secretary general of the principal, one chairman of the parliamentary board and one treasurer.
Significantly, the four national office carriers JD (U) are Muslims.
Most members are part of the team led by Union R C P Singh.
Previously, there were 16 members with RCP as National President JD (U).
Former MP Darbhanga Maa Fatmi and Harshvardhan Singh have been included as new members on the Lalan Tim.
The Minister of Water Resources Negara Sanjay Jha also found on the list.
While the former MP Rajya Sabha K Tyagi will continue to hold a postal principal’s secretary general, MLC Upendra Kushwaha will remain chairman of the party parliamentary council.
Gopalganj MP Alok Kumar Suman has been made treasurer.
RAM Nath Thakur, Sevak Singh Ram, Sanjay Jha, Gulam Rasool Balyawa, A Ahmad Khan, Praveen Singh, Kamre Alam, Harshvardhan Singh and Maa Fatmi have made the National Secretary General.
Likewise, former MP R P Madal, former Mla Vidya Sagar Nishad, Ravindra Prasad Singh, Raj Singh Maan and Rajiv Ranjan Prasad has made the National Secretary of the Party.
A senior JD (U) official said the new team was a reflection of the party’s future plans.
“This is more objectively oriented than the previous one,” he told this reporter by telephone.
The announcement of the new party officials assumed significance after a political scenario in the state ahead of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly poll.
RCP For Up Polling: JD (U), at his meeting, on Tuesday the Official Union Minister RCP Singh to hold talks with Ally BJP on the pre-polles alliance in the election of the Uttar Assembly next year.
National President JD (U) Rajiv Ranjan Singh aka Lalan Singh said RCP was a senior party leader and would discuss the pre-polling alliance with BJP for assembly elections.
