Bhubaneswar: Four thieves, who will offer Rasagolla to Dewa before targeting their tilted, arrested by Police Special Forces Komisionce here on Thursday for allegedly stealing cash from several drug stores in the capital city.
The defendant, identified by the police as Raju Singh (43), Shankar Dey (31), Suranjan Biswas (35) and wasped by Biswas (50), owned by West Bengal.
Singh is a gang leader.
Police said the defendant used to work as a mason in West Bengal before they lost a job during a recent Covid pandemic.
They reached mixed on January 12 and stole cash from drug stores.
Gang members arrived in Bhubaneswar on January 17 and put up in a guest house near the train station.
“They stole cash from several pharmaceutical stores under Badagada, Kharavel Nagar, Shree Lingaraj and Nayapalli.
Have instructions about them while checking CCTV footage from different drug stores and market areas.
The police have confiscated RS 39,000 in cash from the defendant.
