Bhubaneswar: Four foreign capitals from ‘risky’ countries have been tested positive for Coronavirus, the state health authority confirmed on Wednesday.
Samples of infected people have been sent to the Isascog Laboratory at the Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) to ascertain whether they carry the omicron virus variant.
Health Otisi, however, refused to divulge the names of the countries they returned from and their residence in the state.
“They have mild symptoms.
The samples they have been sent for genome sequencing and the report are awaited,” Niranjan Mishra, Director of Public Health, said European countries, including the United Kingdom, in addition to South Africa, Botswana, New, New, New Mauritius, New New Zealand , Zimbabwe, Singapore, Hong Kong and Israel have been identified by the ‘risky’ center of the distribution of Omicron Covid mutations.
The center has sent a list of these countries to countries to help them track and trace leaflets from there on their arrival here.
