Gurugram: Four gunmen allegedly robbed a liquor store of Rs 40,000 in cash on Monday on Monday at Shivaji Nagar, only 200 meters from the office of the police commissioner.
CCTV’s recording from the England wine shop showed a man entering the shop and asked for late beer on Monday night.
As soon as one of the two salesmen comes to get a beer, the man looks to go back to the desk and open the money drawer.
As the Salesman object, three gunmen looked covered the shop.
They fired seven shots in the air but no one was injured, said the police.
The robbers then fled.
Om Prakash and Yunus, the Salesman, told the police about the crime.
They claimed that they were threatened by gunmen men in Gunpoint, while the fourth person issued all the cash stored in the drawer and put it in his pocket.
“When one of us tried to stop it, his accomplice fired a bullet to the wall to threaten us.
They fled with Rs 40,000 stored in the drawer,” one of the Salesman told the police.
According to the police, the men also opened the fire while leaving the place.
They allegedly fled with a white car.
A pine has been registered at the Shivaji Police Station below Section 379 (Penalty for theft) IPC and Section 25, 54, 59 of Act Act.
“We have examined CCTV footage and hopes to arrest the man accused soon,” said a police officer.
