Chennai: The central crime branch (CCB) of Chennai City Police arrested four people because of deceiving technical graduates by collecting RS 56.60 lakh from him in the promise to get the director director of Micro Small Middle Enterprise (MSME).
The defendant has been identified as Jebaraj, 58, from Vapalagundu, M Venkatesan, 34, from Virudhunagar, B Nirmal Kumar, 26, from PattiverePatti and K ayasamy, 56, from Virudhunagar.
P Murali, 34, from Kovilpathai was approached by four people claiming that they knew senior officials in the Police Department and Tangedco that they could get a job at MSMEs.
He paid them Rs 56.60 lakh, but the appointment letter he received turned out to be forged.
Based on his complaint, the CCB job fraud wings registered the case and arrested the suspect.
They are returned in judicial custody.
