Fourth Unnao District to report Zika’s case

Kanpur: After Kanpur, Lucknow and Kannauj, now the Unnao District reported the first case of the Zika virus on Tuesday.
The health department official said that the 35-year-old patient came from Unnao Mishra Colony, Shuklagej and traveled every day to Kanpur where he worked in a yarn factory in Jajmau, Lal Bangla where 130 cases of Zika virus have been reported so far.
High warning has been heard in Unnao District.
A team of doctors has reached the home of an infected person and takes all kinds of precautions.
The Head of the Unnao Medical Officer Dr.
Satyaprakash has issued an order to increase the sample for the Zika investigation in Shuklagej.
The affected patient has been sent to Dengue Ward at the Unnao District Hospital.
Dr.
VK Gupta, the Nodal Officer control unit of infectious diseases, said that on November 13, the patient’s sample was taken at Kanpur and he was examined there himself.
The report on Tuesday confirmed that he was infected with Zika.
“We received reports from Kanpur that our district residents have tested the positive Zika virus.
The sample was purchased at Kanpur on November 13 and today he was declared positive.
He has shifted to the dengue ward in Unnao District Hospital,” the officer said.
Immediately after Zika’s patient reports came, the health department official was above their toes.
Dr.
Ravi Yadav from the Integrated Disease Supervision Program (IDSP) and Dr.
VK Singh reached Shuklagej.
Accompanied by Pradeep Health Supervisors was shown, the doctors then focused on the infected house.
The patient was hastily transported in ambulance to the dengue district of the district hospital.
The UNNAO Nagar Nagam team did a massive fogging exercise in and around the residence of infected people and the Malaria Department sprayed anti-timber chemicals.
Meanwhile, 130 cases of Zika virus have been reported in Kanpur so far.
