Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Friday said dissatisfied with the progress of the Maharashtra government about freed guidelines for door-to-door vaccination against Covid-19 for senior citizens and people riding on the bed.
The Kiwis division bench Didankar Datta and Justice GS Kulkarni said it expected the government to frame the guidelines on July 20.
Advocate General Ashutosh Kumbhakoni told the court that the information was sought from the public throughout the media in bed who wanted to get Jab at their residence.
“Until now, we have received 13,584 responses,” he said.
The court noted that the amount was not large and said the government had to provide broad publicity to the proposal in the newspaper.
The court also noted that at this time the government must frame their guidelines or policies about this problem.
“We want the right guidelines.
At this time, you (state government) must frame the policy.
If not, vaccination drive will be delayed.
We are not satisfied with progress,” said the court.
The bench said it expected the government to come up with guidelines on July 20.
Courts are hearing litigation of public interest submitted by two advocates – Dhruti Kapadia and Kunal Tiwari – Looking for directions to the door and the government to start vaccination to the door for senior citizens over the age of 75, especially those who are able and those who are ridden by places sleep.
Pills argue that these people cannot go to the vaccination center.
The court will hear further petitions on July 20.
