France to introduce an anti-covid pass for cafes, trains from August 9

Paris: France will from August 9 to enforce a new law that will make it mandatory for health to visit a cafe, take a plane or travel with the inter-city train, a government spokesman said Wednesday.
The legislation delivered by the parliament on the weekend has triggered mass protests in France but the government is determined to press forward and make health pass the important part of Covid-19.
Valid health passes are produced by two jabs from the recognized vaccine, negative Koronavirus tests or recent recovery from infection.
Legislation also makes mandatory vaccination for health workers and caregivers.
Pass has been mandatory from July 21 for visits to museums, cinemas and cultural places with a capacity of more than 50 people.
Government spokesman Gabriel Attal said it would also be mandatory in cafes, restaurants, aviation, and inter-city trains from August 9 which rose infection driven by the Delta variant, with an average of 19,000 daily cases – 97% higher than a week ago – meaning That health situation in France “continues to get worry and keep worrying”, he added.
Attal announcement came because data showed 50 percent of the French adult population was now vaccinated with two Jabs.
The government’s health pass strategy made number one weapon vaccination in the war against Covid-19.
Attal emphasizes that there will be a tolerance rate in the initial phase of August 9.
Transportation Minister Jean-Baptiste Djebbari said the authorities wanted to have “good level of control without making life of difficult travelers”.
Towards the return to school after summer vacation, Minister of Education Jean-Michel Blanquer said high school and students would only be withdrawn from classes when fellow students were tested positive if they themselves were not vaccinated.
He said 6,000-7,000 the vaccine center would be deployed around the school to help teenagers get their jab.
The French health authority on Wednesday approved the administration of modernum to 12-17 years, after the same verdict on the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine in mid-June.
The implementation of the Health Pass Law will come four days after the Constitutional Council, the highest French constitutional authority, issued its decision to law in August 5.
