LONDON: British police released four men who were arrested under terrorism laws while detectives investigated the explosion of homemade bombs in Liverpool taxis and worked to understand the motives suspected of being a bomber, who died in the explosion.
The police have named the bomber as the 32-year-old EMAD Al RealMeen, who came to England as asylum seekers from the Middle East and were then converted to Christianity.
Al Swearalmean was killed and a taxi driver was injured when the explosion tore the vehicle when he stopped outside the Liverpool woman on Sunday.
The police said the explosion was terrorist acts and believed the dead to build the bomb, but they still worked to determine the motive.
Four men in their 20s who were detained under the terrorist law were released on Monday night.
Russ Jackson, a counterterrorism police for Northwest England, said that “following an interview with the people arrested, we were satisfied with the accounts they gave and they had been released from police detainees.” Jackson said that the police now have a “far greater understanding of the parts of the device components, how they are obtained and how the parts tend to be assembled.” But he said, “There is a big enough way to understand how this incident is planned, prepared for and how it happens.” The Times of London said Al Swearmeen – who also used the name Enzo Almeni – claimed to be a Syrian and Iraq background and has submitted asylum requests in the UK, but was rejected.
The Liverpool pair told the media that Al Swearme had spent time in a psychiatric hospital and lived with them for eight months after his release.
