Chandigarh: Children owned by poor families Verified under ‘Parivar Pehchan Patra’ will now be given free education in the Sanskriti schools managed by the government in Haryana.
The decision was taken at a meeting under the leadership of Manohar Minister Lal Khattar on Friday to review the progress of these schools.
Education Minister Haryana Kanwar Pal also attended the meeting, a official statement said.

He also expressed satisfaction of the work carried out by the Ministry of Education in establishing these schools, added that there was a request to increase their number.
J, Ganesan, Director, Basic Education and Special Secretary, the Department of School Education, said the leader of the minister had previously made an announcement to open the model of San San Sanskriti Middle School and Sanskriti Elementary School in each quality block in par with private schools.
At present, there are 137 Sanskriti Middle School models and 1,418 Sanskriti Primary School models in the northern state.
In particular, the Council of State recently passes Haryana Parivar Pehchan Bill, a law that aims to provide a unique identifier number for each family for determining the feasibility of schemes, subsidies, services, or benefits provided by the Government Haryana.
Khattar told the assembly last month that 64 lakh families in the country were registered under the initiative of Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP).
