Ludhiana: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener and Minister Delhi Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday announced a second guarantee to state voters, promising health free and better.
Under his first guarantee, Kejriwal has announced “300 electrical units” and “24-hour power supply” for the Punjab people.
Making six promises for people’s health insurance, he said free and better treatment would be available in all government hospitals in the state if the party won the poll.
Drugs, operations, and tests will be free, and health cards will be made for all citizens, he said at a press conference here.
He added that 16,000 Pind and environmental clinics will be opened on the Mohalla Delhi clinic lane.
He said the condition of existing government hospitals would be improved and the new large medical facilities opened.
Treatment of victims of road accidents will also be made free, he said.
“You go to the government hospital, the primary health center or public health center in Punjab, you will not get treatment there.
There are no doctors there, no drugs and even machines do not work.

“Our Mohalla clinic in Delhi has been well-known throughout the world.
On the same line, we will open 16,000 ‘Pind Clinics’ in all villages, wardes and punjab cities,” he added.
For queries regarding funds for free health care facilities, Kejriwal cites the example of how the Delhi government has saved money in the Wazirpur Flyover project, which is estimated to be built at a cost of Rs 350 Crore but only spends Rs 150 Crore.
“We change the budget deficit to be one of the advantages within four years in Delhi.
