Noida: Pet owners in the city will soon be able to make their friends vaccinated for free.
Noida authorities on Friday announced that it would arrange camps to vaccinate the pet population registered through its cellular application, which will live from November 25.
RS 500 is the registration fee.
After the application is ready, the authority will approach the association of residents’ welfare and the association of apartment owners to encourage residents to register their pets.
The authority launched the beta version of its cellular application for pet registration on September 15.
However, the iOS version of the application and other features of the existing Android application have not been added.
Noida CEO Ritu Maheshwari said that the iOS version and the complete application will be available for residents of November 25 and the IT Authority department “works to provide the same final form”.
To get their pets registered, a resident must provide all the details, photos, and proof of the address, along with the cost of Rs 500.
Previously the authorities had maintained annual fees as Rs 1,000.
However, due to backlash from various groups of residents, the cost was cut into Rs 500 on September 30.
