Freedom fighter Kaliannan Deceased; TN CM, leaders condole death

CHENNAI: Constituent Assembly Manhood and Independence fighter T M Kaliannan Gounder passed out on Friday at Age 101 in Tiruchengode at Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu.

Chief Minister M K Stalin and leaders of all celebrations condoled his death.
“In his youthful age, he had been a part of the Indian Constituent Assembly and also a veteran leader of the Congress movement,” Stalin explained.
Departure of Kaliannan has been a Enormous reduction for Tamil Nadu along with the country, ” the Chief Minister said.
While he had been a college student, he included himself in the freedom fight and as an associate of Mahatma Gandhi, he was an embodiment of ease, Stalin stated.
He was a Member of Parliament, governmental Meeting and Council also and he also dedicated his life to the aid of the individuals, he said.
Tamil Nadu Congress Committee leader K S Alagiri stated Kaliannan was a part of the Constituent Assembly and hailed as the centenarian’s solutions to the country through the freedom movement.
Condoling his passing, Alagiri stated Kaliannan had held that the offices of both vice-president and treasurer from the TNCC.
A votary of Gandhian principles, Kaliannan adopted the footsteps of stalwart K Kamaraj and functioned for those with honesty, simplicity and courage, Alagiri stated.
“Kaliannan’s death is a significant loss for the Congress movement,” he explained.
“He was the final member of this Constituent Meeting (to be living ) and that I was grieved to understand his passing,” Congress legislature party leader K Selvaperunthagai stated and encouraged thegovernment to accord a state funeral to the deceased leader.
PMK founder-leader S Ramadoss was amongst many others that condoled Kaliannan’s departure.
