French Constitutional Court to examine the Law on Pass Health

Paris: Special French Court is set to decide on Thursday whether new laws that are valid next week and will only allow access to cafes, restaurants, long distance trips – and in some cases of hospitals – for Covid-19 health permits in line with the state constitution.
This law accelerated immediately through the parliament last week as a soaring viral infection, was included by a very contagious Delta variant which now contributed most cases in France.
Polling shows the majority of French support pass.
But vocal critics claim that it limits basic freedom by imposing restrictions on their movements outside the home and implicitly making mandatory vaccination.
The opponent has demonstrated throughout the country for three days, with more protests it is expected this weekend.
The Constitutional Board examines the law is a special court, among other things, reviewing the constitutionality of the law.
Dozens of protesters have held sit-ins in front of the council building in Paris for several days, and on Thursday the police chased some of the nearest square.
Pass health is issued for people who are both vaccinated against Covid-19 vaccination, or who have evidence of recent recovery from infection, or recent negative tests.
This has been valid since July 21 for cultural and recreational places, including cinemas, concert halls and amusement parks with capacities for more than 50 people.
But new laws come into effect on Monday expanding the application.
The law requires a special pass to get into cafes and restaurants, including outside seating, home breaks and hospitals – for visitors and patients who do not need urgent attention.
Pass is also needed for long distance trips by train, plane or bus.
And the law stipulates that all health care workers are vaccinated on September 15.
Many restaurant owners say it’s not their job to enforce the law, check every client to pass.
Some health professionals have voiced concerns that patients who need non-urgent treatment can suffer.
“Some people have told us that they will not return so health passes are implemented,” said Vanessa Shi, co-owner of a noodle restaurant near the Champs-Elysees Avenue.
” We have been insulted in several people.
The event, with people who call us sold out and worse to say we will apply its size, “he said.
“But with the bill we played during a pandemic …
this problem survives us.” More than 28,700 new infections were reported on Wednesday night, steep climb from one month ago.
Pandemi has claimed more than 112,000 lives in France.
