Madurai / Trichy: After a marginal increase over the past two days, the number of fresh Covid-19 cases in Madurai Regency fell to 11 Monday.
Seventeen recovery in the district took the number of active cases in the district to 156 on Monday.
Lone Covid-19’s death, a 60-year-old woman, in ten southern districts of the country listed in Madurai.
The district is recording Covid-19 death after five days.
Meanwhile, Trichy reported 48 fresh cases and 64 recovery.
The district has maintained the amount of release between 60 and 70.
The number of active cases also dropped to 616 of 640 on Sunday.
Trichy recorded one death taking a toll road to 1,000, the highest in the middle area.
A total of 117 new cases were reported in the southern region on Monday.
Kanyakumari District (26) noted the highest, followed by Sivagaai (18), Dindigul (13), Tuticorin (12), Madurai (11), Tirunelveli (11), Virudhunagar (8), Tenkasi (7) and Ramanathapuram (3) .
The region also reported 139 recovery.
The number of active cases fell to 1,355.
The number of active cases in Kanyakumari fell to 299, followed by Sivagangai (200), Tirunelveli (179) and Madurai (156).
Nine central districts reported 305 fresh Covid-19 cases and 339 patients infected with Covid dumped on Monday pushing the number of active cases to 3,577 of 3,621 on Sunday.
The area also recorded 10 deaths, among them four in the Thanjavur District.
With this, the victim area has risen to 4,057.
The region issued 296,214 patients from 303,848 total cases recorded in the region.
