BENGALURU: Bengaluru’s daily count of Covid-19 positive cases dropped below 2,000 for the first time in over two months.
The city reported 1,992 fresh cases and 199 deaths on Monday.
The decline in cases comes as a breather for the healthcare personnel who have been fighting the pandemic without a break for 10 weeks.
The previous time the daily count was less than 2,000 in Bengaluru was on March 30 when it reported 1,984 positive cases.
The state recorded 11,958 cases on Monday and the positivity rate was 9%.
