New Delhi: Republic Day Parade 2022 is ready to show off military power and Indian cultural diversity and many unique initiatives have been included to mark the 75th year celebration of independence as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
RAM President Nath Kovind will lead the nation in celebrating the 73rd Republican Day on January 26, 2022.
This year’s celebration was special when Republic Day fell in the 75th Independence year.
To mark the opportunity, the defense ministry has made a series of new events during the main parade in Rajpath on January 26 and the ‘defeating retreat’ ceremony at Vijay Chowk on January 29.

Here are some unique initiatives that we will be able to witness the long R-Day celebration this year – * This week has been decided that the Republican Day celebration will now be a week old from January 23-30 every year.

* Grand Flypast by 75 Airplanes / Air Force Helicopters for the first time, the IAF has coordinated with Doordarshan to show the cockpit video during Fypast.
Vintage and current modern aircraft such as Rafale, Sukhoi, Jaguar, MI-17, Nest, Apache and Dakota will display different formations – including Rahat, Meghna, Eklavya, Trishul, Tiranga, Vijay and Amrit – in the past, mod stated.
* Cultural performances for the first time, dancers who appear during a cultural program in a parade have been chosen through national competition, mod notes.
Competition ‘Vande Bharatam’ began at the district level with the participation of nearly 3,870 dancers in 323 groups developed to the state and two-month zone in November and December, mentioned.

They will display their talents during the parade in Rajpath,” said.
For a better viewing experience in the parade, 10 large LED screens – five on each side of Rajpath – will be installed, the MOD mentioned.

Meanwhile, according to tradition, the national flag will be opened by the national anthem with a booming 21-gun salute.
Parade will begin with President RAM Nath Kovind takes salute.
