FSI Report: District forest area decreases by 6.20 square kilometers

Ludhiana: There has been a decline in district forest areas.
According to the latest Indian forest survey report (FSI), which was released by FSI, Dehradun, district forest area in 2021 was 52.72 square kilometers.
Compared to the 2019 report, when it was 58.92 square kilometers, there had been a reduction in 6.20 square kilometers.
This report shows that among the various types of forests in this district, there was a decline in the area under a moderate dense forest to 22.86 square kilometers in 2021 from 25.18 square kilometers in the 2019 report.
According to the 2017 and 2015 report, the area on The bottom of the moderate solid forest is 26 km square and 33 square kilometers.
The area under open forest, also dropped from 33.74 square kilometers to 29.86 square kilometers.
In 2017 and 2015 reported that areas under open forest were 29 square kilometers and 35 square kilometers.
