Chennai: About 200 members of Congress Tamil Nadu Mahila held a demonstration at Chennai on Thursday to protest the increase in gasoline prices, diesel prices and LPG.
In a procession, they went to Raj Bhavan and filed a memorandum to the Governor of Banwarilal Purohit.
Tamil Nadu Mahila State Congress Advocate President R Sudha led the delegation.
In memorandum, they stated that the BJP government in the middle has increased the level of gas cylinders at least 32 times.
They asked the governor to communicate their serious concern for the central government.
They want the center to reduce the price of gasoline, diesel and LPG.
After receiving a memorandum, the governor convinced the delegation that he would continue to the President of India.
