Bokaro: Head of the Head of BJP State and Bokaro Mla Biranchi Narayan on Friday urged the Government of Hemant Soren to fulfill his promise to cut the value added tax (PPN) collected by the state at the price of gasoline and diesel.
Narayan demanded that the state government must reduce VAT on two fuel with at least Rs 10 after the center cut Customs at the Eve Dewali.
“VAT reduction will further reduce the price of gasoline and diesel to provide financial assistance to the people,” MLA said.
He added, “I want to remind the chairman of his promise minister that the state will reduce taxes on gasoline and diesel if the union government reduces the central tax.
While the center has done his work, the state government is still asleep when it turns.” On November 3, the center has been cutting down Customs on gasoline and diesel.
Following the reduction, one liter of gasoline is now cheaper by Rs 5.68 while diesel is cheaper by Rs 12.27 in Bokaro.
On November 2, the gasoline fee of Rs 104.46 per liter and the diesel price was Rs 104.08 per liter.
Narayan’s demands have been supported by Gomia Legislators of the Ajsu Lamodar Mahto Party.
Transporter here also demands slash in VAT.
Rajesh Kumar Singh, the owner of the city-based Janta transportation, “The State Government must take a signal from his partner in Assam and reduce VAT of Rs 10.
Transporter here must pay some tax and reduction of VAT will be a big relief.”
